This is the house I renovated...the first pictures are all I have as "before" shots. The house was built in the 70's, has two bedrooms and two baths. It originally has popcorn ceilings, and the ceilings, walls and doors were painted what I'd say is nicotine yellow, and the carpet, the linoleum, and the drapes were also nicotine yellow. The kitchen and bath cabinets were a dark brown faux veneer, and the appliances were the original appliances in harvest gold (the yellow in the series of avocado, orange and yellow appliances) with countertops that matched.
Here's some of the pictures I have....
Kitchen floor cabinets and fridge
This is the bathroom...
Carpeting and cabinets
Carpeting and walls
Drapes
What I did was....
Tear the entire kitchen out, trashed it.
Relocated a vent
Raised the ceiling in the kitchen and one bathroom up 1.5 feet.
Built and installed the new kitchen cabinets.
Rewired outlets for new appliances.
Installed can lights and hanging fixtures in the kitchen and a can light and a vanity light in the bathroom.(removed flourescents)
Painted every wall and ceiling in the house.
Added new baseboards.
Removed all the old flooring.
Took out the bathroom cabinets and vanities and built/installed new ones.
Polished the countertops and grouted them.
Tiled a mosiac on the back porch.
Here's the pictures...

Soup Can Pen Cups
I made these out of soup cans, for lack of enough pen cups and not wanting to spend ten bucks each. I'm really pleased with how cute they turned out and how well they fit in my desk..
